Course Descriptor
Pupils will receive one period a week of graphics for ½ the year and similar for Design. During their period in graphics we aim to cover significant aspect of learning (SALS) with introductory skills in:
Throughout pupils will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of both manual and computer generated graphics within our world. These basic introductory skills will be further developed in S2.
- Manual graphic skills
- Freehand sketching for 2D & 3D representation of everyday objects.
- How to apply colour and tone to an everyday object for a more realistic graphic representation.
- Colour theory and the role colour choices play in our lives.
- Computer graphics
- Basic 3D modelling
- File management for efficient working.
- Basic Desk Top publishing layouts and principles.
